The Medcentres Plus Skin Clinic

We provide a range of services  from dermatology consultations to minor skin procedures. We combine convenience with traditional service, providing our patients with the reassurance of affordable and personalised care.

We take an MDT approach using  nurses, dermatologists and plastic surgeons who work together to ensure you receive the right care in modern surroundings.

Dermatology & General Skin Complaints

Simply contact our friendly admin team, who will book you in to the next available appointment with one of our Dermatologists.

In some circumstances we may ask you for more information including a photo. This is so our clinical team can review your skin complaint (at no cost to you) and determine if any treatment you need can be provided on the day, saving you time and money.

If you’d prefer not to do this, please just let us know.

Removing Lumps and Bumps

Many of us have minor lumps and bumps that whilst not medically worrying can be annoying or unsightly, We offer a range of treatments from minor procedures such as cryotherpy to get rid of warts, to minor ops for moles and larger lesions.

Surgical procedures are provided by both our plastic surgeon and dermatology teams – we’ review each patient to ensure they are seen by the most appropriate clinician.

If you are happy to provide a photo, we can often offer “see and treat” procedures. Please note however if there is any suspicion that the lesion is complex or might not be benign we‘ll offer you a clinic appointment first.

Hyperhidrosis (severe sweating)

Perspiration is a perfectly normal aspect of life, However it can become excessive. producing embarrassing wetness or interfering with normal activity.

Well known muscle relaxing injections have proved a highly effective treatment  and is offered by our skilled nursing team. They offer a free initial assessment at which they’ll discuss your symptoms and advise if you are suitable treatment. The effects are normally very pronounced but do wear off over time (effects can last upto 12 months),  requiring top up treatment.

How do I know what my treatment will cost?

Most minor skin complaints can either be resolved during your dermatology consultation or with a Simple Treatment e.g. cryotherapy or scraping. Where possible we offer patients a see and treat service so what you see above is the price you’ll pay,

Some patients need a minor op (e.g. surgical procedure or biopsy) which takes place in our minor ops theatre suite under controlled conditions. Again we try to offer see and treat appointments where appropriate and most simple procedures e.g. a mole removal, are charged at £325.

Where your clinician feels it’s in your best interests to see you before surgery, either because your case is a little more complex and needs to be planned or the lesion might not be benign, we’ll offer you an appointment first. In all cases we’ll tell which category your procedure falls into so you always know what the cost is before taking the next step.

In some cases your clinician may recommend we send skin samples to the lab just to provider further reassurance or identify potentially malignant lesions.

We don’t set a minimum or maximum number of lesions per treatment or procedure. You and your clinician decide the best way forward and the cost follows accordingly – they will  always explain why they are recommending a particular course of action. Some lesions such as Warts may need several treatments.

We don’t hide or add costs either, for example if your Clinician needs to write a private prescription, that’s included in the cost of your appointment (please note this excludes the cost of any medication).
